It was 1920, in Venice, in a post-war period in full effervescence: the young Pilla Brothers inaugurated a distillery, seizing the opportunity of rebirth. In a short time, the habit of the aperitif spread, with Select becoming the protagonist, enjoyed mainly pure or with the addition of seltzer (or soda), as well as being used in various cocktail recipes. Towards the mid-70s, with the explosion of the Spritz, Select conquered the role of undisputed protagonist! Today, as then, it is considered an icon of the Venetian aperitif and there is no historic venue in the Lagoon that does not offer it!
