Our nation's most famous aperitif originated way back in 1860, in the small Caffè dell'Amicizia bar in Novara, thanks to the ingenuity of Gaspare Campari. While experimenting with infusion, the goal was to create a unique aperitif for his customers. Perhaps not even he would have imagined that he was creating the recipe for the most renowned alcoholic bitter in the world, a formula that remains unchanged to this day.
